Welcome to AI Chess Guru (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a service operated by an independent sole proprietor based in India and available at aichess.guru(“the Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
The Service provides an AI-powered chess coaching experience including but not limited to lessons, drills, position analysis, voice-narrated explanations, and progress tracking. Content is provided for educational and entertainment purposes and is not guaranteed to be free of errors or omissions.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@aichess.guru if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems, including scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with its operation.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its generated content without our prior written consent.
- Submit content that is harmful, harassing, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features of the Service are available only with a paid subscription. By starting a paid subscription you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring basis until you cancel. Pricing, billing intervals, and feature inclusions are disclosed at the point of purchase and may change with reasonable notice. Cancellation, refunds, and trial terms are described in our Refund Policy.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
6. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, lesson content, narration scripts, code, and designs in the Service are owned by AI Chess Guru or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial chess study.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of any games, notes, questions, or other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and process it solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not claim ownership of your games or analyses.
8. AI-Generated Output
Explanations, plans, and commentary produced by the Service rely on engine analysis combined with language-model generation. While we ground evaluations and best-move claims in engine data, language-model output may contain inaccuracies. The Service is a teaching aid, not a substitute for professional coaching or tournament preparation.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Chess Guru and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in India.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will always be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
